About the Honorable Judge Esplin
Ryan H. Esplin serves as a Commissioner and Judge Pro Tem for the Mohave County Superior Court. Judge Esplin currently handles a caseload primarily consisting of criminal court matters. He has previously handled family court and guardianship cases.
Judge Esplin is a graduate of Southern Utah University (’02) and University of Nebraska-Lincoln College of Law (’05). Prior to his 2025 judicial appointment, Judge Esplin worked in the civil division of the Mohave County Attorney's Office for 8 ½ years. Judge Esplin started his legal career as a Deputy Public Defender for the State of Colorado and later worked as a staff attorney and managing attorney for Community Legal Services.
