
MOHAVE COUNTY SUPERIOR COURT
SEEKS INDIVIDUALS INTERESTED IN FILLING
VACANCY ON JUDICIAL EMPLOYEE MERIT COMMISSION
The Superior Court in Mohave County is seeking to appoint a resident of Mohave County to fill a public member vacancy on the Judicial Employee Merit Commission. Appointment to the commission is on a non-paid volunteer basis. The commission meets on a quarterly basis and is responsible for advising the Presiding Judge on personnel matters affecting the Superior Court which includes employees from probation/juvenile detention, clerk of the superior court, and superior court administration and judicial divisions. The commission is responsible for recommending rules, processes and procedures for advancing the professionalism and efficiency in the judicial service. It is also empowered to hear employee grievances.
The commission is currently comprised of public members including Amy Sugamele from Lake Havasu City and Susan Chan, Jackie Walker and C. David Cooley from Kingman. Current supervisory employee members include Audrey MacDonald (Clerk of Superior Court), Josh Frisby (Probation), and non-supervisory members including Kara Letcher (Superior Court) and Lori Linn (Law Library). The court strives to have a diverse and broad representation on the commission.
Appointment to fill the public member vacancy will be made by Presiding Superior Court Judge Randolph A. Bartlett. The selected individual will serve a new four year term.
