Honorable John S. Taylor

Judge Taylor

Judge John Taylor serves the Cerbat Precinct as the Justice of the Peace. As the first Cerbat Precinct Justice of the Peace, he assumed duty in January 1999 and has held the position ever since. The Cerbat Precinct is part of the consolidated Kingman/Cerbat Justice Court.

Judge Taylor received a Bachelor of Arts from Marshal University in West Virginia in 1980. In 1983, he received his Juris Doctor from the College of Law at the University of Toledo, in Ohio. After working two years in private practice, Judge Taylor moved to Arizona, and worked in the Mohave County Attorney’s office, until he was elected as a Justice of the Peace in 1998. During his tenure as a Deputy County Attorney, Judge Taylor served 13 years as a felony trial attorney.

Having made Mohave County his home since 1985, Judge Taylor cares about the community, and participates in various local organizations and activities. Judge Taylor, and his wife Cathy, make their home in the north Kingman area, where they are raising their children.
